New York Zipline Adventures – Hunter, NY

New York Zipline Adventures is a substantial tourist attraction located at Hunter Mountain. The Zipline experience involves two Adventure Tours: the SkyRider Tour, which involves 4.6 miles of zipline and is the longest, fastest and highest zipline tour in North America; and the Mid-Mountain Tour, which is a family-friendly tour that involves ziplining, rope bridges, rappelling and other activities in a three-hour adventure.

New York Zipline Adventures worked with Greene County, the Town of Hunter and the New York State Office of Community Renewal in order to make the $2 million project a reality. Working in conjunction with the Town of Hunter, Greene County obtained a $200,000 Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) grant to assist the company with equipment to develop the attraction. Greene County also offered a low-interest Quantum Fund loan of $200,000.

New York Zipline has been a four-season success since their opening in 2010. New York Zipline has been featured on Good Morning America, CBS News, NY 1 and Fox News among other outlets.

New York Zipline has created approximately 30 new jobs in the Village of Hunter. Its four-season appeal has also helped Hunter attract more tourists in the shoulder and summer seasons when Hunter Mountain does not have skiing.
