Gavin’s Irish Country Inn, an all-inclusive resort featuring a live music and entertainment schedule with well-known Irish and Irish-American musicians, has become a key attraction in the Great Northern Catskills. Famous for their Nellie Gavin’s Irish Bread & Scones, Gavin’s has decided to expand their market and open an Irish Tea Shop in East Durham.
The Irish Tea Shop had their “soft opening” during July 4th weekend where friends and family gathered to try the homemade Irish bread, scones, sandwiches, teas and coffee. The building the tea shop is housed in today dates back to the 1880’s and has a wonderful charm that lends itself to the perfect atmosphere for a tea shop.
Upon visiting the Tea Shop, you will be surrounded by the smell of freshly baked Irish breads and scones. Browse through the homemade Irish jams, teas, local maple syrups, Goats milk lotion and more. The Irish Tea Shop also offers an outdoor seating area with vintage tables and chairs.
