Hunter Mountain has adapted to the changing times and needs of its visitors over the course of the 50+ years they’ve been accommodating skiers. More and larger ski lifts, a larger variety of trails and new and changing amenities continue to draw skiers and snowboarders of all ages and abilities to Hunter Mountain.
Along with being a top winter sports destination, Hunter Mountain is also a popular non-winter attraction, with a wide and expanding range of activities and festivals for every season. Hunter created the TAP NY Festival when the craft brewing industry was in its infancy; now the festival draws over 300 brewers from far and wide to Hunter every April. Highly successful music festivals like Mountain Jam and Taste of Country fill the county in early summer, and a highly-acclaimed lineup of ethnic and motorcycle-oriented events highlight the summer and fall.
Hunter Mountain has also adapted its lodging and dining options to meet the continuously-changing wants of the traveling public. The innovative Kaatskill Mountain Club was the County’s first condo-hotel, greatly adding to the slope-side amenities of the resort.
While having great success throughout its proud history, Hunter Mountain continues to build its base by meeting current customer needs and discovering the customer’s future needs, meeting them often before they are even aware they exist.
